I’m annoyed

.cue/.dtswav files do not burn properly

I was using the trial version downloaded to my PC, and created numerous DTS-CD disks from the .cue/.dtswav files created by DVD Audio Extractor. Eventually, the trial said something about a 100MB limit, even though I had only used it for a single day, so I paid $55 and downloaded the Nero 2015 Platinum edition. Now, when I double-click on the .cue file, and Nero Express comes up (apparently, the Nero Burning Rom does no support opening the .cue file), the resultant CDs are a garbled mess. Just static plays.
Seems like I just wasted $55. I will protest this to Discover when I get my bill.

  • Hi Gail-

To my knowledge, you can't burn a so called DTS-CD from Nero. You can burn an Audio CD with your files . However, does your player support DTS?

  • Forgive me, but I obtained DVD-A disk for my 2004 Acura TL, and the 5.1 channel sound was astounding. I was disappointed that my 2015 Acura TLX does no longer support DVD-A, but did support DTS-CD, which DOES play 5.1. So, as stated above, I used a trial version of DVD Audio Extractor to extract them to .cue/dtswav file sets. The trial said something about a 100MB limit, even though I had only used it for a single day, so I paid $55 and downloaded the Nero 2015 Platinum edition. Now, when I double-click on the .cue file, and Nero Express comes up (apparently, the Nero Burning Rom does no support opening the .cue file), the resultant CDs are a garbled mess.

The ones that I initially burned with the trial indeed had 5.1 in my TLX, which does support the 5.1 channel DTS-CD files. I read most of that post. It rambled on a bit. I feel cheated, and did send a message to tech support.
