.DAT Format to VCD

Few weeks ago I had Rented a VCD to Watch a Movie on TV but Could not Watch it. Hence, I end-up returning back the VCD to VCD Store without Watching it. Before Returning it to VCD Store, I had Saved all the .dat Files from both the VCD which were in "MPEGAV" Folder. I have Saved them in my Desktop Computer to Make it as VCD. I tried to Make a VCD from Roxio but could not make it. I tried with Various Version of NERO too but Unfortunately I Could not Make a VCD. I have Installed Nero 2015 Platinum 16.0.02900. Can you please Help Me to burn .dat Files as VCD? Thus, I can Play it from DVD Player which is Connected to TV. Please Help.

  • Open Nero Video and select DVD, DVD-Video. Are you able to import the .dat files? If so, you can then click on the Disc Project button on the bottom right of the page to change the project type to VCD. If the files won't import initially, you might try changing the project to VCD before trying the import.
    • Hi Wither 1 - Thanks a Lot for your Response!!!... Tomorrow I will Check and Revert back to you. Because, the Desktop Computer is in Office and Office is Closed now. It's 12:51AM here. For sure, I will Check and Revert back to you Tomorrow. Meanwhile, if possible can you please Send Me some ScreenShot file OR Video Clip to Follow your Instructions?

  • You shouldn't have any problem locating DVD, DVD-Video under Create & Export in the opening screen.

The next screen will be the Content screen, as shown below. Click on Import, Import Files. Browse to your files and either select them all using standard Windows Explorer keystrokes and click on Ok or import one at a time. Your discretion. If they import, you'll see thumbnails on the right hand side. If they don't import, then click on the Disc Format button in the lower right hand corner, select Video CD and then retry the import.
