Hello
Is it possible to add a visible timecode to a video using Nero Video 2018?

Thanks!

  • Hi Greg-

We've talked about that in numerous threads but I can't find one of them where we talked at length about it. I did find a short one but it's not helpful.

How do you want to use it? Do you want it to change continuously throughout playback?

  • Hi Wither,
    Thank you for the reply.

Yes, it would follow the play head. I've found that most people have a hard time communicating cut points when using just a player; e.g., they will often confuse the play head position for the time remaining in the video. If the play head position is superimposed on the video, it makes it really easy for them to communicate changes. I have a work-around - I use another program; however, would be great to do all the work in Nero. :-)

  • If you can find a timer in a video format that you can adjust so that it's the full duration of the project, then you could either superimpose it over the video/photos by putting it on a separate video track in the project or you could add it as a PIP in the video/photos. It seems you have something like that. If you want, you could upload it to something like dropbox and provide a link and us volunteers could work with you on it.

  • Hi Vladimir,
Here is a YouTube 10 minute count up timer video ...

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lkjs...

If you want to save this as an mp4 video file ...

Try changing the web-link to the free "save from net" downloader by inserting "ss" between the www. and the youtube in the address bar like this:

    https://www.ssyoutube.com/watch?v=1lk...

Then, in the save from net page ...

Click on the "download in browser link" ....

Cancel the pop-up for Ummy ...

Then click on the download button.

The file should then be saved to your downloads folder.

(If it does not start to download but displays in the web page ... right-click on that stream and then "Save As" out to the file.)
