Blu Ray Burning Issue Nero 2016
I am trying to burn a Blu-Ray disk in Nero 2016 but when I add a 4gb Video, it says it takes up the whole 25GB of the alloted capacity.. Just seeing what I have to do to make multiple files fit on a Blu-Ray

Hi Bryan-
First thing, is v2016 up to date as determined by running the check for updates from the Nero ControlCenter?
The issue that you're seeing has come up with numerous versions of Nero. If you add another copy of this video to the project, does it red line? -

Hey yes everything is up to date on control center. And yes when i add another video it will say it wont fit on a mormal blu ray disk. Which is weird becuase as you know a blu ray is 25gb.

Bryan,
The output file size depends upon the duration of the video, the resolution, the bitrate, encoding format, etc. Same for the source file. For example, starting with a 20 minute, 720x480 .mp4 video having a bitrate of ! 2Mbps:
and then choosing various Blu-ray output formats:
results in very different output file sizes:
Do you know the resolution, bitrate, etc., for your source file? -

resolution for the video files are 1280x720, bitrate usually runs around 4500K, ive tried hitting tv standard but it only does 720x480 which I am not able to use, when I choose HDTV standard, it automatically does 140000KB and I cant change it.

What are you selecting when you open Nero Video?
If I select Blu-ray disc and import a 1280x, the recording format options are set to automatic and the bit rate is at the lowest value. Ditto if I open Make Advanced Movie and select HD basic (1280x), import the same file and then select Blu-ray disc. -

Bryan,
I've uploaded a 1280x720 .mp4 video with a bitrate of ~
It can be downloaded here.
Here's the MediaInfo basic data:
Using Automatic (fit to disc) results in an ~4.6 GB file:
MediaInfo data on the result:
Using BasicHD setting cuts the output bitrate and ~halves the file size:
MediaInfo data on the result:
Using Custom BasicHD setting allows a small reduction in the output bitrate and the file size:

I'm not seeing any errors in using the provided file. If you try it and get errors, I suppose you could try contacting Nero Tech Support. -
