burn home video to blu ray disc

I am trying to burn my video that I took (in bluray setting) with my camera onto a blu ray disc. I have the videos stored in home medio and have nero 14. Ive done this before, but have forgotten the steps to take. What do I do first? Please advise. Thanks.

  • Hi Tom- If you want to do that from Nero MediaHome, just select the files you want to burn in Photos & Videos and click on the Burn icon in the lower right hand side of the screen. Select Blu-ray Video.

If you want to do editing, then you should create your project in Nero Video. We can go through the process if necessary.

  • If I choose to do a little editing and go through Nero Video, what are the steps to take here? Any help is appreciated.

  • Open Nero Video. On the home screen select Blu-ray Disc under Create Disc (most right category).

The Content Screen will open. In the task list top right you find an import button. Click on this and select your preferred method: e.g. via Windows Explorer (Import Files), or via NeroMedia Browser, and other options. MediaBrowser might work out the easiest way for your case as you already managed your Clips via MediaHome before and MediaBrowser is just the standalone browsing tool of Nero MediaHome. So you have the same representaion.

Then just click next, select a menu, click next again, and do a preview. Click next and burn to BD.

Compared to Nero MediaHome the authoring functions are much richer (you can also do customizations), yet easy to use in Nero Video. So give it a try.

  • If you want to do editing, I recommend that you start out in Make Advanced Movie, import your files, drag them to the timeline and make your edits. When done and you click on next, it will ask you what you want to do with it. You would click on Create a Disc and then blu-ray disc. That will put you in the Content screen where you can do things like add chapter markers. From there, it will take you to the menu editing screen where you create your menu (or select no menu). You can then preview and then burn.
