Can I create a batch of duration times and apply to next set of pics.

I need to have 8 or 10 batches of 35 pictures set to the same duration of display, i.e., 1st pic= .04 sec, 2nd pic= .12 sec but restart sequence at pic 36= .04 sec, 37 =.12 sec etc. Is there a way to copy the durations of first 35 pics and paste those settings onto pics 36 through 70, etc.? thanks (I have Nero 16)

  • Hi Curtis-

I don't know of any way of saving/copying the durations.

In Make Advanced Movie, you could manually select the 1st picture in each batch and set the duration for them all at once. You would then repeat for the second picture in each batch. Given the number of pictures you have that would be a time consuming.

You could also add the 1st picture for all batches to the timeline in order, select them all and then set their duration. Next add the second pictures in all batches, select them all and set their duration. When done, you could go to the arranging screen and put each picture in its require position.

I don't know if either method would be less time consuming than the other.

I was thinking about copying and pasting the first batch and then replacing the pictures with new pictures but, I haven't found how to do that. The pictures can be replaced in Express Editing but, if the replacement picture has a different duration, that will be used.

  • Curtis,

I got here late with my suggestion, I guess! Anyway, I tried this and the best I could do would be to set the durations on the first set. Select that set (click on 1st and SHIFT-click on last), copy (CTRL-C), position the cursor at the end, and paste (CTRL-V). Then, drag the pasted group to a new track to use as a guide when adjusting the next groups pictures. A simple example:

I think it's going to be a hassle no matter how you do it.

  • I really appreciate both ideas. These are things I hadn't considered. Both would save a little time but only some. Omega's idea may be the easiest so I'll give that a shot.
    Thanks to both of you.
