My PC shuts down due to the CPU overheating while rendering long vids. I even tried putting frozen cold packs under and beside the laptop AND IT STILL SHUTS DOWN!!
Is there a solution?

It's not really a Nero problem. If your CPU overheats, then the system will shut down with no BSOD.
Have you checked the vents on your system to make sure they're clean. I don't know if you can access the fan blades to see if they're clean. I can't on this workstation. Maybe running a vacuum over the vent holes (with the system shut down) may help to clean the fan blades. The other thing to check is if the fan is speeding up under load. I don't know anything about your system so I don't know if you have a driver that does this. -

Some folks consider laptops unsuitable for heavy video rendering for the reasons you've discovered. Try also lifting it up on blocks to give plenty of airspace underneath. Also what is your room temperature? If you're in a hot climate and no air conditioning try rendering at a cooler time of day which is usually just before dawn..

I'm definetaly not in a hot climate. I live in Canada. And as mentioned, I put cold packs under the PC.

Did you try or check the things I mentioned?
What is the make and model number of your laptop? -
