  • Benjamin,

Click below for a method. It's a manual procedure! Are you a patient person?

Is it possible to reverse a clip in Video 12.

  • Benjamin,

I found two programs to reverse a video and tried one.

I reversed a small video clip using Xander's Video Time Reversal 2. I imported the original and the reversed video into Nero 2014 Video. I unlinked the video/audio of the reversed clip, sped up the video by 10 using the Fast Motion Effect. I exported the audio and used WaveEditor to shrink the timescale by 10. I imported the audio, placed it under the sped up video and exported the result:

  • Thanks !! I will test this freeware. I have already view the first solution... But manual procedure is unbelievable...

I find it hard to believe that it is not a native effect in Nero Video 2014 !

    Thanks Omega Tester !

  • I'll add info about two apps that also making reversing video easy. The disadvantage is that you need to purchase them.

The apps are iMovie and Cyberlink PowerDirector. In PowerDirector it's ridiculously easy: you select the clip and check the "Video in Reverse" box. Instantaneous reversal.

iMovie is equally easy, if I recall correctly, but I work primarily in Windows and getting the clips from the PC to the Mac (then converting, blah blah blah, exporting) is such a wear out that I use PowerDirector. At the time I got PowerDirector Nero also did not have a slow motion feature which it now does.

If you have an older Mac it's possible you have a version of iMovie that used to come with the Mac OS.

Like you, I'm also baffled at Nero's failure to add the reverse feature. I've brought up the topic via the contact form or email since Nero 7. It is frustrating when the feature appears to be standard in other video editing software.

  • I was really hoping NERO would take the hint and make reverse video part of 2015. Reckon I will look at cyberlink. I too have asked NERO several times for video reverse capabilities.
