I'm using Nero Video 2014 to create a new movie made of four video clips, and have created a chapter marker at each clip. Upon burning the dvd, after playing chapter 1, the movie continues to play on to chapter 2 without stopping.
Is there a way to make the movie stop playing when it reaches the next chapter marker? If so, how do I do that?

Omega Tester is right: you can do only using Titles.
You must import every chapter as individual Title, then you can choose if after EACH title go to the next title or go back to the menu screen -

I'm trying to do this too. I have several movies set up as chapters in Nero. So the End Action should be Jump to Menu on some chapters, Play Next Title on others.
But if I choose the End Action to Jump to Menu, all chapters change to Jump to Menu. If I choose the End Action to Play Next Title, all chapters change to Play Next Title.
How can I make the End Action different for different chapters? -

Chapters are markers to be used for moving forward or backwards to using your remote during playback. They're not titles. The End Action applies to titles.

So I divided my movies into parts and exported them as separate files (so they are Titles?). Then I went to Create Disc/Blu-ray Disc and imported the Titles. Then I click Next and a menu comes up showing each file as a button. But again whether I select Play Next Title or Jump to Menu, every Title is changed so I can't individually select them.

Maybe I'm missing your point? Mine seems to work:

It looks to me like you are changing the end action to Jump to Menu or Play Next Title for all menu items at once.
Since my titles play different movies, I need titles 1-3 set to Play Next Title and title 4 to Jump to Menu so I can play a different movie.
How do I do that?-
I have no idea!

As Omega Tester implied, you can't do that.
I don't understand exactly what you want to do.
It appears you want all the titles to play continuously and then jump to the menu at the end. In that case, I would join them all but place chapter markers at the start of each video. Then, use a title and chapters menu. That way, when playback of all the videos ends, it would jump to the menu and you can chose the desired video from the chapters menu.
If you don't want it to play from end to end, you could choose the desired video you want to start with from the chapters menu. When it ends, just use the controls (forward, backwards) on your remote to move in the desired direction to get to the movie you want to play. For clarity as to which movie is at each chapter marker, you could add a text effect at the start of each movie with it's name.
There are probably other ways to accomplish what you want to do but you would need to provide more clarification of your intentions. -

I'm trying to make a blu ray disc with 3 movies on it, each with chapters, and a button on the main menu for each. Pressing movie 1 button on main menu plays movie 1 from start to finish (unless chapter points are selected) and then returns to main menu. Pressing the movie 2 button would do the same with that movie and so on....

Jeff,
I've made another attempt. This time I used three FlowerMeadows and inserted chapter markers at 4s, 8s, 12s, and 16s. Here's a video demo showing that each movie jumps back to the menu and chapters can be skipped over (but not selected).

Jeff,
Yet another, but with chapter menus for each title (uses Advanced Menu Edit)

Thanks for all your help Omega (and Wither) but I have now figured out how to do exactly what I want! The key was to start in the Create Blu-ray Disc area. That allowed me to import all the video files I want, edit them one at at time and add chapters, then move forward to Menus (using Jump to menu or Play next title at the end of each chapter) and burning. Thanks again!

Jeff,
You're welcome! But, to help others who may be trying to do the same thing, maybe you could take a few minutes to post screenshots of your Content Screen and the Menu Edit screen? -
