I want to uninstall Nero 9 and do a reinstall. Where can I download the program as I didn't buy the disc
Windows 7, I only use Nero Express but I am having trouble with my Bd-Rom so want to uninstall Nero and see if that helps. If I buy the new Burning Rom will it burn my books from Audible.com.

thanks Jens. Another query, if I buy the latest Burning Rom does it include Nero Express as I use it a lot to burn books from Audible.com

Jens- it seems to me that support for audible books was dropped in some versions since v9. Do you recall if they're still supported?

What a pity. That is the only reason I have Nero, I bet a lot of people don't want the bells and whistles but just want a simple program to do the everyday things. I bought the complete Nero and have never used anything but Express, there are so many free programmes out there to do just about anything so why would I pay for something which doesn't do what I want. It seems that Nero is aiming at the professional consumer and away from the home user. I daresay they have their business plan but personally I don't know anybody who has Nero.
Thanks anyway.- view 1 more comment

Just a note: It was not our decision to remove audible..
Also, you are not correct - there are not many programms tha can handle audible - audible is still a closed format. Cause of the used encryption, it cannot be legally used without permission.
So as always: Its better to buy the audiobooks from a company, that uses a standard format. -

Your original question was about v9 and I think it was answered. It sounds like that's what you should stick with. However, if you want all the improvements that have been made since v9 to do other things besides the Audible books, you can have Nero 2014 installed on the same system.

OK Wither, I actually asked 2 questions and the answer to the second one was not what I wanted to hear. I daresay I am allowed to have an opinion, bear in mind that I actually paid for my product, it was not a freebie or a pirate. Seems you are all a bit touchy.

Actually, for my last post, I had originally written a lot more concerning who Nero is aiming at and the fact you don't know anybody who has Nero. I then shortened it since you are certainly allowed your opinion. Having been in the forum for 5 1/2 years, I admit that I get somewhat touchy when someone disses Nero, even though I have no affiliation with the company. I don't know why software companies remove features that have always been there, even if only a few people use them. Nero isn't alone.

Thanks for the explanation. I had a feeling it was something like that, in this case.

Okay, apologies to Nero. I am taking it up with Audible. That is another example of "its not broken, why fix it" Since it has been bought by Amazon, Audible is only a shadow of its former self, unfortunately sometimes I have to use it to get the books I want. If there was a viable alternative I would certainly go there.

I agree Audible is a shadow of it former self and they keep pushing i-tunes to burn thier books. But I will stick with Nero 9 I bought it with the other programs that came with it and have never used anything but the burning rom and cover maker.
