Insert slide in middle of a sequence
How do you add a slide in the middle of an existing sequence? I tried adding it to the end and dragging it to where it should go but this doesn't work. Thanks.

You have to do this at the "Advanced editing" mode at Nero Video/Vision.
There are two possibilities to do this with different results:
1.your video should be interrupted:
Cut your video at the timeline, insert the sllide at the next video-line above on the timeline next to the "cut" position of the video below and move the part of your video at the video-line below to the right, next to the end of your slide.
This will also interrupt the audio of your video.
or
2.your video (and the audio) should continue when the slide should be shown:
Just insert your slide at the second video-line above on the timeline.
The picture of the video will be replaced by the slide, the audio of the video will still be played. -

Thanks, but in this case there is no video but rather a sequence of static slides where I want to insert one. I have 10 slides and want to insert one between 6 and 7 for example. Maybe in your notes above the technique works the same for this situation? Thanks again.

In this case you can select multiple slides using the "CTRL" key on your keyboard to select each of them or the "SHIFT" key and select the first and the last. (Using SHIFT: all items in between will also be selected)
Now please click, hold and move them that you have a gap between the items no 6 and 7.
Now you can directly insert a new item at this gap. -

Got it. Many thanks. I was just hoping that the program might allow you to directly drag a slide from the end to the desired insertion point without having to manually move things out of the way. Maybe in a future version.

Just add the slide you want to insert to the end of the video track.
Click on the double arrows on the left hand side of the screen just above the timer. That's the arranging screen. You can just drag slides around and place them wherever you wish. -
