It is always the simplest things that elude me. I have made an advanced movie of many photos and images and I want to add a new photo into the middle of it. How do I make a place for the new photo into the middle of my film without having to laboriously move, one by one, each of the photos that come after the new photo? Is there a way?
Thanks!

Hi Hilarie-
With the project on the timeline and the photo you want to add in the media area, hold down the Shift key and then drag and drop the photo where you want it. -

Thank so much! That worked with the picture! So happy. Tried doing the same thing with music but it didn't work. Is there some way to insert new music or narration without everything moving?

It works for me when adding the default Nero music files to the Music track but not for standard files. I think it works with the Nero files because of their special design.
You don't have to move things one by one. On the right hand side of the screen there is the Rectangualr Marquee. If you click on the little arrow on the bottom , left hand corner of it, you can select one of the directional arrows. For instance, if you wanted to move everything from a point to the right, you would select the arrow that points to the right. Hover that over the timeline and, when the tip of the arrow is where you want to move things from, click. Then click on the standard tool (white arrow on the right). Click and hold on any media to the right of where you selected with the right arrow and drag it to the right. -

I haven't been able to put it to use yet but I am looking forward to it. Thank you so much for helping me.
