Moving files, modify metadata file location?

Using Nero Video 2014

How can I tell a project that I have moved some of its files to a different folder?

I have a ".nvc" file in a folder, along with a ".avi" file and an assortment of ".png" files.

I wish to move some of the files to a different folder.

In Nero, I can read the files' locations in the Preview/Metadata tab, but I cannot edit the file location.

    Plugger,

After moving your files to their new locations, open the .nvc project file in Nero Video. You will be presented with a dialog that allows you to browse to find your media files. You might try making a small project in a new folder containing all of the necessary files. Save the project and close Nero Video. Create one or more new folders and distribute your files among them. Open Nero Video, choose "Open Nero Video Project", and navigate to the new location of the .nvc project file. Choose "Browse" on the dialog as many times as is necessary. Once all files have been located, save the "new" project and proceed.

  • Omega Tester:

    Thanks!

Yes, I came upon the Browse mechanism when I moved files around.
It does work, of course, but it is a bit of a nuisance when files are sprinkled 9 folders deep on an external disk, and the Browse window opens in C:\Libraries\Pictures for each file.

Anyhow, I want to tell Nero Video where the file is, without browsing.

(Aside: This issue is avoidable by planning ahead, but I hate doing that...)

  • Hi Ray-

What kind of project are you burning- blu-ray, AVCHD-DVD or DVD-Video?

In the Burn screen, can you select Burn to and select an active drive?
