Please note that your version is out of date. Win 7 compatability, you need 9.4.26 or later (the latest is 9.4.44.0b or c.

It sounds like you have a bad disc.

Would you post the entire log? You might have to create two or more posts in order to show the entire thing.

This is a media problem - try other brands of media, lower writing speeds or another writer

  • Your writer reports a media error - that means, your write cannot handle the inserted media.

So, either you have to take other media - or another writer.

When the media error comes up, we recommend several things.

Try another disc. It's not unusual for there to be one or more bad discs in a batch.

Try a different batch of discs. It could be that the batch you have may contain all bad discs.

Try a different brand of discs. Some burners actually don't work well with some brands.

All Jens is saying if none of this fixes the problem, then you should try a different burner, if you have one.

What burn speed are you using?

    To update v9, go here-

    http://www.nero.com/enu/downloads/pre...

enter your e-mail adress (the one you used when you registered Nero).

    Download and save the file.

Run the .exe to install. If you encounter problems, you may have to uninstall your copy of v9. To do that, you would use the Nero General Clean Tool ( Not from Control Panel).

Thank you so much. I updated v9 and then ran rip and burn program again and was able to process the discs.

  • The best DVD's are from Taiyo Yuden...JDPR-22-SB8
These purport to have an archival life of 100 years, other brands last only 10 years.
    SuperMedia Store is a vendor.

    Hope this helps,
