Nero 2016 fails to burn image to a double layer DVD

Bought Nero Burning Rom 2016 today. Burn image file to a double layer DVD fails with cannot perform Disk-at-once. Why on earth am I expected to pay money for something that doesn't work?

  • Hi Irena,
The log file is not complete, if you can post the rest of it where it left off in a couple of more replies here, that would give a better idea of what is going wrong.

One thing to try ... if you have not set your burn speed manually ,,,

Can you alter the burn speed option setting down to a lower speed - for example 8X or even 4X?

You'd be surprised how many times lowering the burn speed option can help.

  • Thank you, but I'll not be surprised. I know this old trick and I would not be writing to you if reducing the writing speed helped. I've already tried it a couple of times without success.

  • Thanks. The log already told me which drive you're using.

    Go to-

    http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/e...

In the Identify the Product section- you can either let it autodetect your system or you can input the Service Tag. Go to Drivers and Software. Look for the driver for your drive (note that Dell and others incorrectly call the firmware a driver) and reinstall it.

    Then try another burn.
