Nero 2016 Platinum won't play bought DVD's

I upgraded my PC to Windows 10 and as it doesn't play DVD's I installed a Nero burning rom disk that worked. As I wanted to edit my own videos I bought Nero 2016 Platinum to cover more than what I needed it for. Now every time I put in a DVD I get a pop up telling me that
"Due to patent licence restrictions, Dolby Digital 2-channel decoding is not available. This feature can be added by installing the DVD-Video Plug-in, the Nero 6 retail package, or the web version."

It then gives me 4 options with 2 of them asking me to purchase either the DVD plug-in or Nero 6 now. Clicking on these takes me to the purchase page for Nero 2016 platinum that I've already bought!

I've paid a lot of money for something that doesn't seem to work, sends me round in circles and seems to want to make me pay more!

Any suggestions?
