Nero 2017 Platinum Blu-Ray burn Failures

Hello. I currently have Nero 2017 Platinum. I have converted a movie using Nero Video to Blu-Ray format. Conversion went fine but when i go to burn the compilation, I keep getting burn failures. U have tried 4 different Blu-Ray recordable media and have all the same failures.
I am getting a "Power Calibration error" as well as "Illegal Disc" and "Could not perform end of Disc-at-once" errors
I am currently using an LG Blu-Ray disk burner. I have attached the log after one of the burn failures.
So any support would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi Shane-

You can't attach a log file here. You have to open it and copy and paste the contents here. It will probably take two or three Reply boxes because a single Reply box can only contain a limited amount of text and the logs are normally too long for that.

That error usually means there's a problem with the burner. However, it can be caused by the write speed being too high. You can try using the minimum write speed available. You can specify it in the Nero Video burn screen (I assume that's what you're using.)

  • I think what it's objecting to is the use of an RE disc. I don't think that an RE disc should be an issue but don't have time to test it this morning.

However, I see that you've never updated the firmware on your drive. I have the BH version of your drive. I use Firmware version 1.01 because some people have had problems using version 1.03. However, I probably should update it.

You can get the firmware updates here-
