    I have rebooted and reinstalled.
    I will not be rolling back as I do not keep restore points as running on a small SSD.
    Yes there were Windows updates out recently, so there should be an update ready from Nero to correct these issues !

  • These types of problems are system specific so there's no update needed from Nero. I should mention that v11 is no longer supported except possibly for updates to Nero MediaHome.

    Go to Control Panel, Programs and Features. Is Microsoft .net framework 4.5.2 installed? Click on it and select uninstall/change. Select the Repair option. When it's done, reboot.

    3rd party software vendors should keep up with updates sent out for the operating systems they run on.

    I am not running v11 I have the Platinum 2015 version.

    I have just done what you suggested with the same result.
    As per post http://forum.nero.com/nero_eng/topics... there IS an issue with Recode that obliviously needs addressing.

  • Nero provides updates if there is some Windows update that interferes with their software. I have two copies of v2015 installed on two different operating systems which are up to date and have no problems.

    Sorry about the mixup in regards to versions. I saw the Nero11 and completely forgot what your original post said. The file it's referring to is in the Nero 11 folder which is used by v11 through 2015.

    Send an e-mail to techsupport@nero.com. Attach the nerosupport.cab file which is created by running the getsupportfiles utility. You can get that at nero.com, support, Nero 2015, support tools.

    Note that they don't work weekends. Let us know what they have to say.

    On June 8th, at 14:44, Video Doc, a Nero employee, recommended the use of the freeware program XMedia-Recode in order to overcome the audio/video sync shortcomings of Nero Recode: "As a workaround for getting rid of glitches you might want to use free XMedia Recode for exporting to mp4 first, then import to NR and NV." in topic AVCHD DVD async.

    You may want to try it while waiting for a Nero response to your difficulties.

    So there is an issue with Nero...

    Dear Mr. Craig,

    thank you for your e-mails and your logfiles.

    Within your logfiles we found that you are using an older version of our products.
    Unfortunately the new versions cannot be installed using Nero ControlCenter.

    Please download the new trialversion at our website and install it.
    This installer will recognize your existing version and update the respective components.

    If the update will not resolve the problem, please create a new NeroSupport.cab and send it us for further checking.

    Should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

      It is clear from Craigus' posts that his Recode version is "up-to-date" since it is version 16.0.14.0 (or 16.0.14000). in topic Cannot import videos on Nero video 2015, Teck Guan Ng posted that he has a recently downloaded version of Nero Video that has version number 16.0.16000. So, it appears that the "trial" version has advanced beyond the installed release versions.

      Since Christian Zastera has stated that Craigus cannot update through the ControlCenter, it would seem that there is a version of Recode in the trial that has gone beyond the installed release versions.

      Therefore, once again, I would like to know what version number of Recode Craigus has just crashed on his machine. Do you mind?

    Thank you for posting your current Recode version number. I have just checked for updates and there are none for my system. Both Nero 2015 Video and Recode are version 16.0.14000. Apparently you and anyone else who installs the current trial version are unwittingly participating in some sort of beta testing program! Moreover, it appears to be failing miserably.

    As I said above, Teck Guan Ng has Nero 2015 Video, version 16.0.16000 after installing the trial. See topic Cannot import videos on Nero video 2015.

    Am I correct in assuming that you now have Nero 2015 Video, version 16.0.16000?

    • I'll continue to recommend that people download the trial version from nero.com downloads when the problems warrant it. That's all I'm going to say about this subject.
    • Will you be downloading and installing it using your serial number? Please stop recommending it if you're not willing to try it yourself.

    Dear Mr. Craig,

    thank you for your e-mails and your logfiles.

    Based on our information the problem has appeared after installing a ATI/AMD Catalyst update. (Version 15.7)

    Therefore we temporary suggest to revert to a previous version of the Catalyst driver.

    Our developpers are currently working on a sollution for the problem.

    Unfortunaltey we don't have an information when the fix or within version of our product this will become available.

    We are sorry for the inconvenience.

    • Well I will NOT be downgrading my graphics driver, this is the job of Nero to keep up with hardware drivers, especially graphics cards.

      As per my previous post...
      It is now Version: 16.0.15000

      I shall be awaiting a fix, in the very near future, that I can update using the Nero ControlCentre.

      Looks like I'll be asking for a full refund as the software is now not fit for purpose or as advertised. And find an alternative product where the developers are up to speed with current hard/software updates.

      Thanks for confirming your version. As I said above, you and Teck Guan Ng both have Nero program versions beyond the current released and updated version. You are "ahead of the curve", probably inadvertently beta testing Nero 2016 software! Unfortunately, Nero is "behind the curve" in any number of ways. If, per chance, you receive a fix from Nero please post.

    I think I may have sorted it...

    Whilst attempting to upgrade to Windows 10, I did the following to remove any conflicts (kept/keeps failing, but that's for another forum ;) )

    • Removed my AntiVirus (Avira AntiVirus Pro)

    • Disabled the Windows Firewall

    • Removed the ATI Catalyst and all my AMD drivers using the AMD Catalyst Clean Uninstall

    • Rebooted

    • Ignored/Cancelled any Windows updates that tried to install. Mainly the ATI drivers

    • Tested to see if Recode would load a file (24.1GB .mkv), and it did. It didn't previously

    • Re-installed the ATI drivers using the AMD Driver Autodetect

    • Rebooted

    • Tested to see if Recode would load a file (24.1GB .mkv) and it did

    • Re-installed AV

    • Rebooted

    • Tested to see if Recode would load a file (24.1GB .mkv) and it did



    Nero still need to investigate this as it was working before the ATI/AMD drivers updated. And works after a clean install.

    Also, can someone please fix the redirect as @Lucky Phil mentioned 6 days ago... It does not work!
