Nero recode mp4 output limited to 1 fps

I've recorded several movies from PAL TV on DVD
Now I want to watch them on my android tablet.
So, I use Nero 12 Recode to recode DVD format to MP4.
Many movies are OK, but in other movies the video output (pictures you watch) are limited to 1 fps. Sound is OK
It looks like you're listening to the story of the movie, and the MP4 output gives a picture that lasts for 1 second and so on. So, 96% of the frames are dropped.
All video's have been recorded with the same settings of my DVD recorder.
And recoded with the same settings in Nero 12 Recode (good quality).
All movies can be viewed from DVD with Nero Kwik Media (all are OK)
But, I repeat, several recoded MP4 output movies are not.
How come?

  • Hi Hubert-

    First, I hope that you meant Nero MediaHome since it replaced Kwik Media prior to v12. If not, I suggest running the Check for Updates from the Nero ControlCenter.

    You said all movies can be viewed from the DVDs. Does that include the ones you're having problems with in Recode?

    Problem solved.
    First yes, all movies can be viewed from within Nero Recode (Edit function).

    It appeared mp4 output was 25 fps with "main movie only."
    However, I've got a couple of dvd's with 2 or more movies on them.
    Nero considers those additional movies as "Extras."
    Such a dvd may have a structure like:
    Logical Volume Identifier 300 mb
    * Main Movie (* denotes "Checked")
    * Title 1,4 3.3 Gb
    * Extras
    * Title 2,5 1.0 Gb
    * Title 3 0 Mb (note very small title, I don't have any information of it)
    * Title 6 0 Mb (Same as Title 3)
    If I leave all Titles checked, the output will be 2 Movies at 1 fps
    If I uncheck Title 3 and 6 (the ones without "real" content) the output will be 2 movies at 25 fps.
    I did check "Main movie and Extras similar quality," because (on my self recorded dvd's), it's just 2 movies (should have same high quality).
    As I said, problem solved, it toke me about 6 hours to find out (most of it because changing something requires a dvd recoded to mp4 to check the number of fps).
    I say it again, thanks for your support.

    Ps. I also want to recode avi format with subtitles in a different file to a single mp4, subtitles included in the movie. Would that be possible???
