I just installed Nero 2015 Platinum. No matter what I select when I open Nero Video, I get the error shown below-
I tried repairing the C++ 2012 redistributable (X86) since the redistributables sometimes cause this problem. However, it didn't work. This is in Vista 64 bit.
I'm preparing an e-mail to tech support but just wanted to pass this on.
Tech support asked me to provide a dump file so the developers can look at it. I'm uploading the dump file to nerobackitup.com right now so they can access it.
I have the same problem sometimes on Windows 7 64bits... and sometimes it launch perfectly...
When it launch, I can work for many minutes and then it crash.
I habe also installed the "Content" to have menues for DVD, but I can't see then in Nero Video 2015 !!!
Nero Video 2014 was running perfectly on my computer, and I really enjoyed it ! Since I have downloaded and installed 2015, Nero Video crash everytime !!!
I think I will return to 2014 !!!
How can I send a report or a dump to Nero Support ???
It seems that it is Virtu MVP 2.0 that causes problems to Nero Vision (Video) 2015.
When I deactivate it, Nero Vision 2015 seems to work normally, and I can even see all effects and all menues...
Strange !
Because Nero Vision 2104 worked normally with Virtu MVP 2.0.
Then, I have created an exception in Virtu MVP for Nerovision.exe in order to deactivate hyper-performance when Nero Video is running. And it works !
My graphic card is an AUS GeForce GTX 680 DirectCU II OC.
It seems that I created a couple of templates way back in March in both v9 and v14 and they were both in a Nero Video folder. l don't know how tech support found them but they asked me for a copy of the v9 template. When I removed the v9 template from this folder, which is buried very deeply, Nero Video now works.
Nero Video 2015 is experiencing a problem and must close down
I unfortunately just purchased nero 15 platinum from nero
all seemed to install fine and I have spent many hrs trying all the different ideas posted, none have worked..
The trial version worked fine
Just to clarify all other nero components seen to operate correctly , when I launch nero video
Nero Video 2015 is experiencing a problem and must close down
save project yes no ( I did not even get to a project ?)
if I launch as admin as suggested nero icon shows on taskbar for a sec and disappears.
Actually I just received my Windows10 notice last night so I updated my Windows8.1 and all of the Nero functions seem to be working just fine. I did receive a message after the windows install that I needed to install a Windows10 64bit Catalyst so I did that. I guess that fixed the problem. Thanks for your suggestion
I just installed Windows10 on my PC and my problems with Nero Video and other Nero Modules has disappeared. Everything is working properly now. I had been experiencing issues with it on Windows 8.1, uninstalled and re-installed it and still had the problem. Today I got my notification to install Windows 10 which I did(a very easy install that did take a few hours, however) and now all the Nero functions seem to be working at the moment.
The catalyst version is \AMD-Catalyst-Omega-14.12-Without-DOTNet45-Win8.1-64bit. I downloaded this last night after I got a message that I needed to do that because of the Windows10 installation I did. The link was in the message from them. I went to Nero update but was told that the versions I have are the current versions.
To check for updates, you would start the Nero launcher and click on Your Product. That will open the Nero ControlCenter. Under Update, click on Check for Updates.
I'm just mentioning this because it's not clear to me how you checked for updates. There's no update website which will tell you if you have all the updates installed. Perhaps you will identify specifically where you went.
Well that is exactly what I meant by going to the update site. I launched the product and clicked on check for updates and was told that I had the latest version which I already mentioned to you. I also told you that all the functions were working properly so what difference does my wording make? Everything is working fine since I upgraded to Windows 10. Let's leave the semantics out of this conversation shall we?
Even if I knew how to do that, I would think Nero would be making changes to accomodate the AMD drivers. That is a lot to ask of a normal user who just wants to do some dvd editing and burning, nothing fancy. I have had Nero since version 1 and have never had to do anything like that to get it to work. I will tell you this tho' that once I installed Windows 10 I received a message that I needed to install a different AMD driver. Since it gave me the link, I downloaded and installed it and everything is working as normal now. The driver was version 14. something not the newer 15
yes, it helped me, but it doesn't work if you simply update your driver, you have to uninstall old drivers first and then put new Crimson drivers on. Good luck!
