I'm trying to burn 15 mkv's to blu ray 25. Total is 27.8 GB so decrease in quality to fit to 25 GB is expected but Nero Video thinks total size of tracks is 39.55 GB.
Another example is for an 8 GB mkv. Nero loads it and thinks it is almost 24 GB.

Jeff,
In another topic, you said, "I have 15 movies, each 1-1.5 hours long, so I want to make multiple chapters within each one, as well as a Main Menu with links to each movie. Can you show how I could accomplish that?"
In another, "I want to create a blu ray disk. I have several movies over 1 hour each and want to have a main menu with buttons for each movie. After clicking a movie button I want to have chapter buttons. Could someone provide a step-by-step for how to do this? Thanks"
The first request seems out of the question. See, for instance, https://www.dpreview.com/forums/threa...
Please review the below (somewhat outdated) list that will provide ways for you to determine and post more information about your source files, your Nero apps and versions, etc.
Video Issues
In most cases, it is helpful to provide information on the problem source video. Probably the easiest way to provide detailed data on a video is to paste the data from the clipboard after following instructions in topic Use MediaInfo in Your Browser. Alternatively, uploading a video to one of the cloud services and pasting a link to the file enables others to download the file and try to replicate the issue.
It never hurts to also indicate:
- The Nero application title and version.
- The Windows version.
- Graphics device
- Project screenshots if applicable
- Screenshots of error dialogs, if applicable
- Output video parameters, such as format, resolution, quality, etc.
For recent versions of Nero, official support can be obtained directly from Nero:
Support Issues
Help with issues involving recent Nero versions can be obtained directly from Nero by using the email contact form at Technical Support via e-mail. This requires a valid product serial number which has the form XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX (8 groups of 4 characters/digits separated by dashes. Note: The serial number will not have the letter 'O'. Since this is a public forum, DO NOT post your serial number. If your serial number is not accepted, use the contact form at Nero Customer Service. - The Nero application title and version.

The movies are from the 30's and average bitrate is 3 kbps. So I assume several will fit on 1 blu ray. Anyway I will use the email route as I have Nero 2018. Thanks for responding.

Jeff,
The link from Lucky Phil is for Customer Service; they don't do Technical Support, but maybe they can explain to you how to go about getting it. -

I've always gotten tech support here. So now I can't?

Can you explain why a 13GB mkv is considered by Nero Video to be over 25GB? The bitrate of the stream is 18 Mbps.
-
Jeff,
I suppose the explanation has to do with the output settings as I attempted to show in my last post. I can say that it's normal to see that sort of thing. If you import the MKV into the Nero Video Edit screen's media area and double-click the thumbnail, the dialog that appears has aa Metadata tab. It will show the source file size, bitrate, aspect ratio, and resolution. Here's an example:
By choosing "TV Standard" as the Blu-ray format, Nero sets the output bitrate at 6 Mbps which causes the output size estimate to be about 1.5 times bigger than the source (~4 Mbps bitrate).
