Nero MediaHome - Music disappeared

I have the free version of Nero MediaHome, but when I open it, it comes up with an error; Nero MediaHome has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

I did the following, and now Nero opens up okay, but all my music has disappeared. How can I get my music library back?

Rename the following folders:

Windows 8 + 7 + Windows Vista:

(1)
Change the name of the Nero Folder from
C:\User\\AppData\Local\Nero
To
Nero1
C:\User\\AppData\Local\Nero1

  • Apparently, renaming the folders, removed the Library entries. In that case, you'll have to re-enter the location of your music filesin the Library by opening Options, Library and selecting "add manually". You would then browse to and add the folders containing your music.

As an alternative, you could select "add automatically". In that case, NMH will search your hard drive and any connected drives for media (including video) and add it to the library.
