NeroVision 10's video export has broken down as of August. I have been trying to export to AVCHD format (using MP4 videos), but the export either:
1) Processes completely but only shows the audio. Video is black
2) The export times out.
3) Not enough system resources are available to perform this action
Until August, everything worked fine. From June - July I did start to get more and more of #3, but it was never truly an issue. I've tried the following steps to fix this:
1) Cleared out HDD space - My 1TB HDD was down to under 100GBs in August. I've got it up to 260GB.
2) Defragged the hard drive - twice (the second time immediately after the first)
3) Updated the video driver for the display adapter (ATI Radeon HD 4200)
4) Uninstalled Nero 10, then reinstalled and updated to latest version.
So far there has been no change. Exports will work if I try a lesser quality format, but AVCHD is almost always a no go now (exports with small Quicktime clips have worked). As stated, my Windows 7 64bit machine could previously handle AVCHD exports without issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been trying for over four months to get this to work.

There was a problem with AVCHD in one of the versions when using 1440x... resolution. I'll have to research it tomorrow. I did just try an export of a short mpeg-4 using AVCHD/Blu-ray, AVCHD compatible in v10 and didn't have a problem.
What is the resolution of your video? -

I don't remember when it started but AMD changed some drivers which caused all kinds of problems for Nero Video (Nero Vision) and Recode in most versions from v10 and later. The primary problem was that one couldn't even start those apps.
I'm wondering if you might try rolling back your driver to 14.12.
I'm only asking you to do that because you said that the problem started suddenly. Other things like a Windows update could also cause problems. -
-
Thanks Wither. I rolled back my the driver for my video card (ATI Radeon HD 4200) to 8.862.3.0 (6/29/11). However I can only export the video at 1280 x 720 (Basic HD) standard. The resulting export isn't great, with kind of a jerky movement when there is movement.
Is Nero going to address this issue? I'd like to be able to record at 1920 x 1080 or at least 1440. -

Nero no longer supports v10. I, or one of the other volunteers, am your only support.
The problem I referred to was caused by AMD (similar to a Nero problem caused by NVIDIA) and is resolved for most people by using specific drivers.
Would you provide a screenshot of the Recording Format Options when you're ready to export?
Also, what is the resolution of your original video? -
-
-
-
It's confusing because you said your video was set at 1920x but it's actually 1280x. Perhaps you meant the recording format options.
You can use 1920x if you select Custom or Full HD but trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear doesn't work very well with video. Trying to upscale the resolution of a video will normally result in unwanted effects.
Does it work at 1280x?
Is Nero up to date as determined by running the check for updates? -
-
Sorry, the original source video was 1280x, but I always had previously exported at 1920x. There were never any issues from the time I started using the program until the beginning of August 2015.
I found this month that it will export at 1280x, but nothing above. And the quality of the video is degraded whenever there is camera movement (I do a lot of sports videos).
Nero is up to date...double checked last night. -
-
What you want to do if the quality degrades, when there is fast motion, is to select Motion Adaptive in the Recording Format Settings. You might also want to use Motion Adaptive Deinterlacing since you have a progressive video format.

Hi Wither,
I've attached links to two unedited video samples:
1) A three video basketball game segment that was shot in 1280 x 720
2) A 5 second video shot in 1920 x 1080.
The first link is for the unedited basketball video shot in 1280 x 720:

The second link is for the unedited 1920 x 1080 video:

The final link is for the edited, converted versions of both videos. In both cases I could only convert them in Basic HD. Again, prior to August this was not an issue.

Thank you again for all of your help. -

In regards to the Cloud video, do you have either QuickTime or the QuickTime Player installed. Since this is a .mov, you might need the .mov codec. This wasn't uncommon in the days of v10. I was able to export it without problem.
I took the larger of the two unedited basketball videos and exported it to 1920x. It came out surprisingly good. I'm viewing them in Nero MediaHome on a 24 inch monitor with 1920x resolution.
Here is the link for the exported clouds-

and the link for the exported basketball video-

I haven't started to try things in v10 (and possibly v2015) in regards to the motion. The biggest issue I see is when you swing the camera quickly. I would think that's an issue with your camera response time. However, we can talk about it later (It's time for my beer and cigar and then dinner). -

Hi Wither,
For the 1920x1080 video, yes Quicktime is installed.
For the 1280x720 that I shot with the camcorder, I had previously been able to export to 1920 without issue, until August. At that point Nero 10 would no longer export to anything above Basic HD.
At 1280 there seems to a jerkiness that wasn't there previously, camera movements aside. -

Hi Wither,
I've installed AMD Crimson and updated the driver. Still the same issue however. -
-
Just to be sure- is your version of Nero Vision 7.4.11000.9.100?
You didn't say anything about the exported basketball video that I provided. Still unacceptable? -
-
I just tried it at full HD. I got a "Not enough system resources are available to perform this action" message at some point in the export, and it timed out.
I then tried HDTV Normal, and this did work.
Nero version is what you listed above. -
