I’m frustrated

no sound on my .m2ts films....

Hi, I bought nero platinum 2018 2 months ago. It work fine for a while but now it doesn't anymore. As soon as I work on a movie (made with personnal films), I have sound and image as I'm working with nero video but as soon as I get the final product, the .m2ts film, there's no sound on it. I can go back to the save "work in progress" by reediting the film, and the sound is there but as soon as I create the m2ts files on my hard-drive, no more sound. And I don't seem to be the only one with this problem. what can I do??

  • Yes I am, and I'm loosing sound by doing that. Funny thing is that I still have nero 2015 platinum so I reinstalled it and it works perfect.
    I did a litttle test, I created 2 films on both programs nero video (nero platinum 2015 and nero platinum 2018). Like I said, 2015 works fine and I have sound but the same film on 2018, made from the same sequence I used with nero 2015 have no sound. I picked both m2ts files and check their properties and there's no infos in the audio section of the movie made with nero 2018 . what is wrong here? I bought a digital copy of nero platinum 2018, can this be the cause of my problems?

    When you refer to "digital", I assume you mean you purchased a download, vice a boxed version. There isn't any difference. In either case, you should run a check for updates from the Nero ControlCenter just to make sure it's up to date.

    The only difference between v2015 and v2018 in regards to sound use capabilities is that the ability to use HD audio, such as DTS, was removed in the first update to v2016. I wouldn't think you would have that in film recorded with a personal camera. Maybe I'm wrong or I'm misinterpreting "personal films."

    Open Nero Video and select Make Advanced Movie. In the Editing screen, import one of your films. Double click on it and select the Metadata tab. Provide a screenshot.

    As an option, you could upload one of your films to a cloud service such as dropbox (limited to 2 GB for a free account) and provide a link to it and we can try working with it.

    • It's okay. i was able to modify some specs in the options (something I had never have to do in 4 or 5 years before) and now the sound is back on. Thanks for your help guys and sorry if I raised an issue about a program lol
