nra files

for every compilation saved file that i do with nero, nero rejects my saved files that i try i have when i try to burn them. then it shows " skip this track" and place a cd,,,,which means? if i have to place the compilation that i did on a cd, what is the point having them on saved file if i have to search for the cd compilations all the time,,unless i am speaking rubbish and there is a way to do it,,,,,which i cannot find it on internet,,,dont worry, my nero is legal

  • Hi Helder,
The .nra file does not contain the audio material, only "pointers" to the files that were used to make the compilation. Hence, if you move or delete the files that were used in the first place when saving the compilation, it will not be able to find those audio files later on.

  • that means, if i take tracks from other cdrs to later make a compilation, all that end saved final file is in vein because it only locates files, since the cdr are not there it wont recognise any file? cd burner can actually save the image file why dont nero does the same? we are talking about nero guys
    • Hi Helder,
One way to overcome the issue could be to "rip" the music and save as audio data files onto a hard drive (provided you have the storage room). Then, you would have the files on hand for future use.

To make use of the audio from a CD, you need to use one of the Nero applications to "rip" the music from the CD.

Note: "Copy Protected" CDs will not allow you to do it.

There are various apps in Nero that can do the job of "ripping" provided the CD is not "Copy Protected" ...

In Nero MediaHome, you insert your music disc

Under Options - CD Ripping - choose where the files will be saved to and then choose the "More" button at the bottom of the screen and "Import Disc".

In Nero Burning ROM, you choose the "Extras" tab at the top
Then select "Save Audio Tracks" - with the CD in the drive.

Click on the Output Tab, select where you want the music files to be saved to, and the format of the files. For example: mp3; wav; flac

In Nero Express, Click on the "triangle button" center left of the screen, Select Save Audio Tracks under the Advanced Menu.

  • thanks phil, anyway,,,if i have to rip files, then i have to rip along with the tracks from various cds that i would be placing on my pc,,,,you see,,,i which that nero could provide a form to save the file at the end of the compilation and if your compilation would be destroyed one day, then you would take that saved image file and placed on nero to burn another cdr.
