Premium Install never provided a Serial #
Purchased Nero Premium (21?) earlier today. Received an immediate order confirmation with a note that an email would follow. Email provided me a link for a download and instructions to install. Documentation says there would be a prompt for my Nero E-mail address and the provided password. That did not happen. The install process seemed to work. However, I did not remove my old version of Nero 16 before installing. The new version install did not create a desktop Nero Icon, but when I tried the version 16 icon, it looks like it invoked the new release and prompted me for a Serial number which I never obtained. I'm going to uninstall all Nero programs and install again. Any thoughts here? Wish me luck Whoops, forgot, installing on a windows 7 machine..

The latest is v2020. There is no serial number.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Nero\NeroLauncher
Run the Nerolauncher.exe file. Does it give you the same problem?
If not, right click on the file and select, Send To, Desktop. -

Thank you sir. On my second attempt, I still was not initially presented with a screen to enter an ID or password. As you suggested I found the executable in Program files and started the launcher which prompted me for the ID & serial # and created an Icon on my desktop. All is now well. Thank you so much for your help

You're welcome. The only ID it should be asking for is your e-mail address the first time that Nero Start opens. I don't like the new way. It Is confusing to a lot of people and, to me also, and my goal here for the last 12 years has been to help people.

I should mention that if you buy a permanent license, you should get a complete serial number in an e-mail.

Sir - I have Nero 12 on my desktop and I've just installed Nero 2020 on my laptop. I did this to be sure I would get a clean install on my least important computer. So now I want to switch and put the newer release on the more robust desktop. So, I uninstall both versions on both PC's and go through the reinstall process with the ID & password for the 2020 and a serial # for the 12. Yes? Thanks

Yes, for v12. Is your v2020 a permanent license or a subscription? If it's a permanent license, I believe you insert that during the installation. I have a permanent license and I believe that's how it's done (been almost a year). For a subscription, I think you just install it and when you open Nero Start the first time, you would enter your e-mail address and procede from there.
