ReActivation Nero 9 - Wave Editor Has Stopped Working File Save Missing WMA
Back in late 2019 I wrote to Nero or cleverbridge asking them to reactivate my Nero 9. They gave me a new code # and everything seemed to work fine except when I went to convert an mp3 into wma (using wave editor), wma format does not even show up in the format that you can save things as. I even tried to download the stand-alone wave ed thinking it might work but it did not install and I cannot find it anywhere on my win 10 pc.

Hi,
If you search for waveedit.exe
Can you find it?
Most likely in Program Files (x86)\Nero\Nero WaveEditor
folder?
I just tried to "save as" from a .mp3 file to a .wma file and it worked OK (using WaveEditor version 21.0.1.1) -

In v9, the WaveEditor.exe is in the Nero\Nero 9\Nero WaveEditor folder. That changed to the path Lucky Phil provided when v14 came out.
Since you have Win 10 and v9 isn't remotely compatible with it, I suggest going to the .exe file and right clicking on it to select Properties. In the first screen, check the box to "run this program as administrator." In the Compatibility tab, set the mode to Win 7 or earlier. Apply the changes. Then, run the .exe. Does that help?
Is your v9 up to date? Open WaveEditor and click on Help, About............. The version number should 5.4.39.7. Do the same thing in Burning Rom. The version should be 9.4.44. -

Sadly, in Melbourne, we have just had our worst day yet for new COVID-19 infections. A "second wave" is well and truly going here. Not as bad as in the US but it looks like a very serious problem. I'm staying put most of the time.
