Recode Confusion and Crashing

The following results were obtained using Nero Recode 12 and 2014 on Windows 8.1 Pro. Attempts were made to recode nine .m2ts files [~200 MB .zip] to WMV format.

The results seem to depend upon how many files are queued, the order they are queued in, which codec is used, VC-1 or WMV-9, etc. When failures occur using Recode 2014, the error is, "NMT_Error_InsufficientMemory"; when failures occur using Recode 12, the error is, "Nero Recode cannot transcode source file because it is not valid damaged".

While trying to make some sense of it all, an unhandled exception occurred, crashing the program in the middle of the queue. I restarted the program and restarted the queue - all 9 files were successfully transcoded for the first time ever! Then I tried again and the failures returned.

The following screenshots and data are presented in the order taken without further comment.
