RPC server unavailable (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA) - error message when trying to Recode a small video file (mkv) in NERO 2019 on Windows 7.
It works fine in NERO 2018 on a similar Win 7 system. I have followed a suggestion to uninstall C++ redist 2010 & 2012, restart the computer and reinstall NERO 2019 without success. How is this problem solved?

i think you need all the C++ redistributables up to v2015 for Nero v2019. Not sure why you don't have it since v2019 should install it.

Thanks for your comment! The advice I followed may have been related to an earlier version of Nero (2017 or 2018). The following MS V C++ redist are now installed: 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2017 (2010 and 2012 only x86). I am running 64-bit Win 7 Pro SP1 on a Dell T3500 with Xeon W3550 @ 3.06 GHz. RAM: 12 GB. Is uninstall of any other versions of C++ advisable before reinstalling Nero 2019? Any suggestions appreciated, thank you.

I'm surprised you have C++ 2017 installed. That's usually something seen in Win 10 via updates. I'm using Win 7 Pro on a Dell M6500 Precision work station and I have all the redistributables except for v2017. I think that's because the only thing I have installed that uses those is Nero. If you have Visual Studio installed, that might explain it.
It might be advisable to uninstall the v2017 C++ just to avoid a problem when v2019 installs the v2015. Actually, I thought that earlier versions of Nero (say v2016 and later) also installed the v2015 redistributable but memory doesn't always serve me well.- view 1 more comment

Wither 1,
See also https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/h... where, among other things, there is:
"For example, installing the Visual C++ 2019 redistributable will affect programs built with Visual C++ 2015 and 2017 also. However, installing the Visual C++ 2015 redistributable will not replace the newer versions of the files installed by the Visual C++ 2017 and 2019 redistributables." -

Thanks for further info. I agree that it would be advisable to get in touch with a person from Nero technical staff. How can you do that?

L-G Hammarström ,
Since you can't get Nero installed, ignore the instructions for 2019 at https://www.nero.com/enu/support/?cur...& and scroll down to:
