Seamless Music Missing
Hello. I was using Nero Video and it looks like my Seamless Music audio options are missing. When I couldn't find them immediately, I sorted my music to only show the seamless music options but it came up blank. I'm working on a series of videos, most of which have already been posted and I need the music for continuity. Is there a way for me to access these audio options that I'm unaware of or is there a workaround for me to get them back?

Hi Melissa-
Which version are you using? Is it up to date as determined by running the check for updates from the Nero ControlCenter?
Did you install the Content Pack (s)? -
-
Melissa-
You should have installed two Content Packs. If you click on Nero Content, does it indicate that the Content Packs are installed?
Please go here-
C:\Program Files (x86)\Nero\Nero 11\NeroContent\Audio
Is it populated with the .nsla files?
In Make Advanced Movie, click on Show. Is it set to All or My Music? If you click on Nero Seamless Music, is it displayed?
Don't want to confuse the issue but, when you say the music is missing from your older videos, did those have seamless music? I just want to be sure that you're not saying that standard audio is missing.- view 1 more comment

Does "show everything" mean you selected "All." You didn't say what happens if you select "Nero Seamless Music."
If you select Pictures, do all 10 sample pictures show up? Does the default Flower Meadow show up in Video?
What I'd like you to do is to open Control Panel, Programs and Features (Programs, Programs and Features if you have Win 10).
Click on Nero 2019 and select Change.
Make sure "Modify" is selected.
When available, select "Installation Settings."
Click on the down arrow next to Nero Video.
Select "This feature will not be available." Continue with the installation. When it's done, reboot.
After reboot, go back to the same installation settings. For Nero Video, select "This feature and all subfeatures...................... Let the installation complete. Reboot. Check Nero Video to see if the Seamless Audio files are shown. -

"Show Everything" did mean "All". When I selected "Nero Seamless Music" nothing came up in the audio section at all. The Sample pictures and Flower Meadow did show up.
I followed your instructions and...well...that REALLY didn't work. Now when I try to select "This feature and all subfeatures..." it won't reinstall. It says it was interrupted and once I close out of the installer, a new message comes up saying something about a "Fatal Error." I've tried running the new installation settings four times and it keeps saying it was "interrupted." The installer was the only program running. -

G'day Wither1, I'm still battling this problem too, since Nero 2019 and now with Nero2020. The above remedy does not work for me. I'm also in contact with feedback@nero.com , but have yet to receive any suggestions. I think there is a problem with the Installer program and it is not picking up all the extra files and folders. Keep trying please Wither1. Cheers, Ron

Have either of you had a version older than v2019 installed?
Ron- I don't know when you sent the e-mail but they don't work weekends.
Melissa- What is your anti-virus? Also, did you get that error after the first reboot? -

G'day Wither1, I have been using Nero since about 2000, but on many occasions I have reformatted hard drives (KillDisk) and I have used Nero's First Aid Kit (but not recently) which apparently removes every grain of Nero on a system. Imay try this again. Another problem in both Nero 2019 and 2020 is that I cannot change the Font in any of the Text options. Seems to remain stuck on Arial. I may have to try running First Aid Kit again. I have been trying to get Nero 2020 running satisfactorily since 1st November!! This is becoming VERY frustrating. Cheers, Ron

Depending on the responses, I was going to suggest the first aid kit. It doesn't fix all ills though.

G'day Wither1
What I've done today to waste 4 hours:
From Settings / Apps in my Windows 10:
Uninstalled Nero 2019
Uninstalled Nero 2020
Uninstalled Content Pack 1
Uninstalled Content Pack 2
Uninstalled Nero Core
Uninstalled Info
Uninstalled Life Themes PRO
Uninstalled Sound Trax
Uninstalled Wave Editor
I Rebooted, Ran Nero First Aid Kit, and rebooted again.
Installed Nero 2020 - 22.0.01200.exe
Installed Content Pack 1
Installed Content Pack 2
Installed Life Themes PRO
Checked for Updates (via Control Centre), there were Nil
Installed Wave Editor
Installed Sound Trax
Rebooted, Checked for Updates, there were two for Wave Editor and Sound Trax, Installed these.
Rebooted.
Checked for Seamless Music none in Audio under All and under Seamless Music.
However, in the newly installed LocalDisk(C:)\Program Files (x86) \ Nero \ Nero 11 \ NeroContent \ Audio the 30 missing seamless tracks are listed.
Nero is simply NOT installing these files. I'm at my wits end.
Cheers, Ron -

I couldn't tell you what my anti-virus is, but it has not changed since I bought this laptop. The messages show up when I go into Control Panel and try to reinstall Nero Video in the Installation Settings. This was after I rebooted my laptop. I have used Nero 2017 in the past, but that was on a different computer.
I've been using Nero on this computer since October with no issues. To my knowledge, nothing had changed. I hadn't installed an update. When I worked on the project for a week without closing Nero, then suddenly the seamless music files wouldn't play. I closed out and reopened Nero and the seamless music files were gone, both in the audio section and in the video tracks. When I opened up previous projects, the seamless music was also missing from the audio section and the video tracks. I don't understand how this could have happened.
I've spent three days trying to solve this. I run my own business and dealing with this made me miss my deadline and has put me behind on two other projects. -
-
Melissa- I suggest that you do as Ron did- send an e-mail which contains your serial number to feedback@nero.com. I don't have Win 10 and it could be that some update affected Nero.
Please let me know the solution. -
-
Here's hoping something successful develops. Thanks for your input Wither1.

I emailed Nero last night, but I still haven't heard anything so I made an executive decision.
I completely uninstalled Nero and reinstalled the software. The Seamless Music now shows up and is playable. -
-
Interesting. I was thinking about this and was going to ask you to reinstall because you had disabled Nero Video and weren't able to enable it because of the error message.
I'm glad your problem is resolved.
Let's see if tech support can resolve the issue for Ron.- view 4 more comments

G'day again Wither1, just received two emails updating my problems:
"We will release a new version tomorrow. This update will resolve audio issues."
and
"I have submitted the font issue to development, I will contact you if have any news."
Hope this is good news for all concerned. Cheers, Ron -

I'm glad they fixed your problem.
Most of the Windows fonts are Open Type which is a variation on True Type Fonts. What is the exact problem?
Where are you trying to use an .oft file since it's a Outlook template? -

G'day Wither1, I'm adding Static text or Fade In text to my videos. Titles, Sub-titles, Descriptions of on-screen items. When I add, for example, a Static Text to Video2 in Advanced Editing, then click Edit, then select font 'Name Smile.otf, it does not change - even after clicking the Done button. The text remains in Arial. I have imported a number of fonts and installed these into C:/Windows/Fonts. The fonts I want to use are 'Square 721 BT Roman.ttf'; "Lesotho Beach Regular.otf"; "Modular Amplitude Regular.otf", and "Name Smile Regular.otf". This shows a mixture of both TTF and OTF files that Nero 2020 will not recognise. The matter has been investigated by Remote Connection to my PC, and has been forwarded to Nero Development for further analysis. I'm awaiting further contact to resolve this issue. Cheers, Ron

.otf is a template, not a font. I downloaded zip files containing the so called lesotho font from two different websites. One says it's a .ttf and the other says it's a oft. It doesn't matter since, when I try to extract either to my Windows\Font folder, I don't get any error messages but it doesn't show up.
See you tomorrow. -
-
Ron,
I don't know if you had the font problems on Nero 2019, but I tried installing the Lesotho Beach Regular.otf font on my Windows 10 laptop and then using it in Nero 2019 Video:
It does revert to Arial if I select any of the preset formats, but otherwise, it seems to work.- view 2 more comments

Wither 1,
I assumed that it was me you were asking where I got the font file. I uploaded the file to my OneDrive and provided a link. Did you download it? -
-
Yes, thanks. Same one I had before. The problem was/is I couldn't add it to the Windows \Fonts. Turns out I had my User Account security options turned off and I was able to add it this morning after turning them back on. Don't know when I'll get to trying it.

Ron Grim,
When I saw that Wither 1 was also having some difficulties with fonts, I downloaded the Lesotho Beach font and posted a YouTube video of how it appears on my system. Is that the one you are having difficulties with?
I reviewed the above and found that you had mentioned that the font problem existed in Nero 2019 for you, "Another problem in both Nero 2019 and 2020 is that I cannot change the Font in any of the Text options." I missed that before. -
-
I just tried that font in v2015 using the Credits text effect and it works fine. I might get to the later versions tonight.
-
-
So I go to my Win 7 system last night and tried the Lesotho Beach in v2015 through v2020. All of them rendered in something like Arial. I was messing around with some other fonts that already existed and some of them also rendered in something like Arial. I don't remember which ones they were.
This morning I went back to v2015 on my Vista system just to verify what I said previously. The Lesotho Beach rendered correctly. (see image) I tried a few other fonts and things like MingLiU and MT Extra rendered incorrectly to something like Arial. So, for some reason, the Lesotho Beach rendering appears to be related to the OS.

I forgot to mention that I had tried that font in Word on my Win 7 system and it worked properly.

I've been using this for a few months without issue. The music was actually already attached to the video, but I noticed it wasn't playing. I shut it down and when I brought it back up, the music was completely missing.
