Stalled Rendering

NERO 2015: Rendering worked great for the first of a two-part wedding video I am working on, however on the second DVD having done all the edits etc and arrived at rendering, this process arrives at 52% and completely stalls making burning an impossibility. What can be the solution bar redoing an entire 2 hour editing?

  • Hi Arthur,
If you can save the Nero Video Project ... (makes a .nvc file) - perhaps by aborting the rendering and saving ... or attempting to save the project where it is now ...

IF that save is successful ...

If you need to then reboot the computer due to the rendering freeze, provided the project has been saved, then all your editing should be retained.

So, then if you open the saved project again, it should be possible to proceed to the rendering stage again.

However, if you can't save the project file, I'm sorry to say that you will have lost all that editing work.

Hopefully, the job will give you a chance to save the project if it dies in the rendering stage, or if you abort the rendering...

    Fingers crossed.

Still, even if the project is saved ... the transcoding stage will still have to start at the beginning again, but the edits you made should be there.

  • Thanks Phil...done that three times but eventually figured out that I could force the program into edit although that button was remaining ghosted-out. I have now removed some less-important parts of one of the video clips and the 'movie' has now been abe to proceed through all th stages and is presently burning.
    Thanks anyways,
    Arthur
