track list using lightscribe

I am having a problem creating a lightscribe track list without manually typing all tracks on template.
Can somebody tell me what I may be missing.
I have lightscribe software and cover design installed I just don't see how to put the track and disc info on without typing it.

  • Hi
the track information cannot be extracted by CoverDesigner alone,
but with the help of eg Nero Express or Nero Burning ROM it is quite easy!

Just make sure that the Audio CD is in the compilation area and then change to CoverDesigner by clicking the CoverDesigner icon in the tool bar. When CoverDesigner is launched, choose a template - the information is in the CoverDesigner database (Data > Document Dada) and is added automatically when choosing a template. Can also be manually added with choosing the Track list tool on the left.

When you have a 2014 suite you also got the possibilty to launch CoverDesigner during copying an Audio CD. Just copy the Audio CD as usual, a window will appear stating the track list information (you can confirm them or change them) and then you can just hop over to CoverDesigner.

    Hope this helps

So, to get the label automatically printed on the Lightscribe disc, you have to burn the disc through Nero?

What about printing a label with a background picture & the tracks manually listed? How can this be done?

PS: I got Nero 9 when I bought my PC in July of this year. Can I get a free upgrade?

    @ Yolande: I'm confused, too :)

The original poster wants to create a label with CoverDesigner and have the track list with all the information automatically entered in CoverDesigner without having to type in; so that the creation will be easier.

But you're problem is about the printing process itself? Well - if you want to print a label on the LS disc, you have to print the label with the help of your LS-burner and Nero.

I'm not sure at this point what your problem is. Is it the mere creation process or does the printing/burning process itself fail in any way? If the later, I would recommend you open a new thread - just to get things clear and straight and not be confused with some other problems/questions.

And please tell me which version of CoverDesigner and which Suite you are using.

The Nero 9 - did it come with the PC? I think you have a so called OEM version, a limited version that the vendor of the PC has "defined". This OEM version is, well, limited, so maybe LightScribe isn't possible in your OEM version at all.
Upgrading is always possible of course but I'm no sales person so I do not know about the conditions. Nero ControlCenter will show you some, or the Nero homepage.
