Unable to contact Support - "The serial number you entered was not valid"

I've just bought Nero 2017 Platinum and it failed the first simple task I purchased it for.

I tried to contact Support at https://www.nero.com/enu/support/serv... by copying and pasting into the form my serial number from the order confirmation email, 907C-....-C641, What I got was:

"The serial number you entered was not valid. Please double-check to make sure you entered it correctly".

How do I proceed from there?

The technical issue I wanted to complain about to Support was:

1. Open Nero Burning ROM 2017 18.0.15000
2. Select Extras > Save data track
3. Select CD-ROM > Session 01 (221 MB) > Track 01: 0:02:00 25:05.45 (222MB), IDF/ISO 9660 (mode 2)
4. Click Save Track, choose an ISO file.
5. The progress bars are displayed.
6. At the very end of the process, a popup window appears:

D: NECVMwar VMware SATA CD00
Illegal mode for this track

PROBLEM: Nero should save the track to an ISO file instead of displaying the obscure error message.

I then installed and tried Magic ISO 5.5 (dated 2010), and it created an ISO file just fine. I mounted the image created by Magic ISO and verified that the image works just fine.

The CD-ROM in question was a standard disc with x-ray images, made in a clinic.
