video overscanning on TV
(Nero 2017) After rendering to a DVD, it plays fine on the pc. However, on a TV it seems to 'overscan' so that text, for example, near the top of a frame is jammed up against the top. Is there a setting somewhere to fix this? Thanks!

Hi Gary-
Did you burn a DVD-Video from Nero Video? What was the aspect ratio? 4:3 or 16:9.
It sounds like the TV is trying to render the video in a different aspect ratio. -

More on this question with Nero Video Platinum 19: I made a DVD from Nero Video 16x9. When the DVD is played on a PC with CinePlayer, nothing is overscanned. However, when played on a DVD player, the image is overscanned. Even if I change the zoom settings, etc., on the TV, the overscanning still occurs. I guess this may be a TV question but I'm not sure. Ideas? Thanks again.

It's a TV/DVD Player problem. Nothing to do with Nero.
Using a Blu-ray player to play your DVDs and letting the player upscale to 1080 for your TV (assuming you aren't using an old CRT model) is the only way I've got around it. -
