Nero Wave Editor was an amazing tool, but now, in it's last version on Windows 10, it lost simplicity and efficiency.
I'm surprise to see that we can not creat an MP3 file in Stereo ?!?
No Join Stereo or 2 ways Mono, but Stereo !
if we try to work on a M4A, what we see (the wave) is not what we hear.
It's better to save the M4A fil in a .WAV File to work on it.
Can we imagine working on this great tool and make it great again ?

Nero no longer supports the free tools such as WaveEditor. As far as I know, the only changes to WaveEditor since about Nero v2016 are to make it Win 10 compatible.
Would you mind uploading one of your .m4a audio files to a site such as dropbox.com, sharing it, creating a link and then providing a link here?
Also, are you selecting Lame mp3 when you save your file? -

I used my Nero Video program only to burn photos to see them on my video player.

Hello Wither.
I have checked about Nero Wave Editor. May be I am mistaken, but, from what I`ve read Wave editor is for music and not for photos. -

What i need, it's just to get "Stereo" and no "Join Stereo" or "Two Mono" restult !
And how you can adjust Fraunhofer codec, the "stereo" mode is missing. -

Perhaps you can explain exactly what you mean by "get "Stereo"." If your files are in stereo, there should be no problem saving it in stereo. There are no stereo settings I know of to specify that a mono file will be saved in stereo. You can add an additional channel and save the file that way.
There have never been any settings for Fraunhofer. The closest thing to it is lame mp3.
I want to make sure your using Nero WaveEditor. There is an independent software called Wave Editor. -

colores.nat ,
The settings shown above result in stereo output. In other words, it appears that using the variable bitrate setting saves stereo if the source file is in stereo. (If the source file is mono, it saves mono). -

Wither 1,
Hopefully, someone that knows something about this will come along! -

Wither 1,
I thought you retired from the forum. Are you just popping in to share your decade of inexperience? Or, are you back full time? -

You don't know the different kinds of results you can obtain from a mp3 codec ?
Mono
Stereo
Join-Stereo
Dual Mono (or double Mono)
So In Nero Wave Editor, if you choose "Stereo" you get an mp3 file "Join Stereo", that result is not what i want. -

colores.nat,
If you were addressing me, I can assure you that I don't recall ever seeing "Joint Stereo" before. However, now that you've brought it up, it does appear that Nero Wave Editor creates "Joint Stereo" when asked for "Stereo".
So, I started with a "Stereo" MP3, saved it as a FLAC (after edits?), and then used the free XMedia Recode to convert that to stereo MP3. -

If i started this topic is to inform NERO/AHEAD that it exist a problem with NERO WAVE EDITOR about MP3 created files.
STEREO give J-Stereo !
Now Fraunhofer codec is totally free to use, it's maybe a good time to propose something to make people talk about AHEAD/NERO -

As I mentioned earlier, Nero no longer supports WaveEditor because it is now a free tool. Anybody can download it. Another Nero product is not required to use it. As a result, griping to the world about it won't make any difference.
