What's Nero AG?

Why isn't Wave Editor listed in the manuals? Why don't the manuals come with the products? What's an MME input/output device for Wave Editor? And, why would I pick either MME or Direct Sound for an output device (and don't say because that's the only choice there is)?

  • Nero AG is the name of the company in Germany that creates/sells Nero software. Note there is another software company that put out a product with the Nero name but I don't think it's affiliated with Nero AG.

For a description of MME, look here-

    for Direct Sound.

I can't answer your question about the different choices for the output but, since I have a sound card on this system, I use Direct Sound for output. Our resident expert on things like that left the forum several years ago. You could ask Nero about it.

Which version of Nero do you have? The way the help is implemented is different for the latest versions (2016 on) depending on the version.

After v12 (I believe), WaveEditor became a free tool and wasn't incorporated into the later suites. However, it can be downloaded from nero.com, downloads. The help file will come with it. If you have a Nero suite, it will be integrated into it after you install it.

  • I think Nero Wave Editor no longer has a help file with it?

It only points to Nero Knowhow these days ..

Perhaps the last Help File (or manual) for Nero Wave Editor was back in Nero 12 days?

Can still download a .pdf file from back then:

      I'm glad you're okay.
